SUMMARY:Sleeping Warrior\, Ugali\, & Ugali Saucer Hills
DESCRIPTION:Sleeping Warrior\, Ugali\, & Ugali Saucer Hills are some of the panoramic hiking arenas in the Rift Valley. Lying within Soysambu Conservancy\, and at the heart of the Rift Valley\, these hills are just off Lake Elementaita. Sleeping Warrior Hill resembles a warrior lying on the ground holding a shield\, while Ugali Hill\, as you can already imagine\, resembles a dish of Kenya’s favorite meal\, Ugali. \n\n\n\nThe hike starts at the shore of the pink lake and then proceeds to Sleeping Warrior\, where we take the steep ascent to the peak (Chest of the Warrior). From the peak\, we take stock of the beautiful views of the surrounding country\, including clear views of the entire Lake Elementaita. We then descend to the other side and then go up Ugali hill. After this\, we will aim for the Ugali Saucer for those motivated enough before descending to the finishing point. \n\nQuick Summary\n\nDeparture time & location: 4:30 a.m.\, at Simba Street \nApproximate hiking distance: 24km \nAvailable hiking time: 10 hours \nMaximum elevation gain: 355m \nHighest elevation: 6\,885ft \nHike difficulty: This hike is suitable for all hiking levels.
