Lake Hohnel Explore is yet another beauty hidden behind the Teleki Valley. This is one of the many Mount Kenya Lakes and Tarns that you can visit and lies within an explorable distance.
The hike starts at Met Station at 3048m ASL and moves through a thicket region before you hit the Moorlands. After you start the open moorlands, there is a vertical bog as you climb to the clearing, where you see the peaks of Mount Kenya. As you go up, the moorlands thicken, becoming more attractive as you approach the Teleki Valley.
Lake Hohnel Explore goes through the Teleki Valley, which has beautiful vegetation and no steep sections. Before crossing the river, the hike quickly diverts to the right ridge for an adventure to the lake view and, lastly, descends to her beauty before starting our way back.
