Northern Nyandarua First Valley Circuit spans the first ridges (Table Mountain, Seven Ponds, and Rurimeria) and across the valley to the second ridges (Poster Hill, Rhino Hill, Kahithe). This is the ultimate Nothern Nyandarua challenge, which will get you to touch all the explored and less explored peaks in the region.
The Hike starts at Mikeu shopping center and quickly goes through a descent to a river crossing before taking a notoriously steep ascent to the Viewpoint. The next section is through grasslands and a short forest cover before you reach the moorlands. Table Mountain is in the Moorland region.
The hike then stretches east to Poster Hill and south to Rhino Hill. From Rhino Hill, we extend farther south to Kahithe Peak and finally west to the Seven Ponds. You can opt to do Table Mountain, Rhino, and Seven Ponds if you want to take it easier. From Seven Ponds, we will descend to Mikeu Shopping Centre for our journey back to Nairobi.
