Rurimueria-Table Mountain Traverse is a day hike in the Nothern Aberdares, and a mini Northern Nyandarua Crescent Circuit. When your endurance starts kicking in, it is time to double the experience and not only immerse into more views but also charge a step further in building your resilience.
This hike starts at Bushi Shopping Center and takes a steep ascent from the start to the end of the notorious false peaks of Rurimueria. The next stretch is gentler across the moorlands to the summit of Rurimueria.
After the breathtaking views at Rurimueria Summit, we will turn back and divert right to the Magical Seven Ponds. The trail to the seven ponds is gentle and ideally flat. After chilling in the afternoon sun, we will finally stretch to Table Mountain Summit for a descent using the Table Mountain Trail, which is friendlier during the descent. This is one of the most rewarding hikes.
