Nithi Falls & Lake Ellis lies at the lower moorlands of Chogoria Route, Mount Kenya, near Mugi Hill on the eastern slopes of Mt Kenya.

Nithi Falls & Lake Ellis lies at the lower moorlands of Chogoria Route, Mount Kenya, near Mugi Hill on the eastern slopes of Mt Kenya. Lake Ellis is a piece of beauty to savor. It is the third largest of Mt. Kenya lakes. The 28-acre lake has beautiful views and is a popular stopover camping site for Mt Kenya climbers using the Chogoria route.
The hike starts near Chogoria Road End, while enjoying the beautiful views of the surrounding hills, such as Mugi Hill, the Giant Billiard Table Mountain, Ithanguni, and the Mt Kenya peaks if the skies are clear. It then diverts to the Nithi Falls before heading to Lake Ellis. It finally takes us to Mugi Hill before descending to catch the car.

Ithangune Crater Hike spans the highlands of Meru Kenya. Hosting Mount Kenya’s Largest Lake, Lake Alice, Ithangune Crater hike is a getaway for explorers and hikers to whom mountain views mean something. This is a special hike that accommodates hikers who are not too experienced, since our departures here, like the Ithangune Hill hike, are for expert hikers. This hike is a 12km climb of pure bliss from the scenic views of the main peaks of Mount Kenya to the landscapes below like Lake Rutundu, the Giant Billiard Table Mountain, and finally the aerial view of Lake Ithangune (Popularly known as Lake Alice). Most importantly, the Hike allows you to touch the waters of this lake.
