Aberdare North to West Traverse is a traverse across the north to the west Moorlands in the Aberdare Ranges. This hikes explores the vast moorlands in the Aberdares and its rocky beauty, while giving a challenge like no other.
The hike starts at Twin Rocks Picnic site and traverses the open moorlands to Ol Donyo Lesatima Peak. From here, the hike takes to the west towards Poster Hill. Poster Hill is the most scenic summit of all the Aberdares’ summits. From here, the hike heads to Rhino Hill, Seven Ponds, and Rurimeria before for a descent through the Seven Ponds trail to Mikeu Shopping Centre.
