Elephant Hill Gatare Trek is a unique experience of Elephant Hill using just a longer and rarely used route. The peaks in the southern Aberdare Ranges are Geographicaly in Muranga and Gatare Forest gives you the chance you never had to experience Elephant Hill from Muranga. Muranga County is known for hills and this is just one of the tallest around.
The hike starts at Gatare forest post and quickly proceeds through the elephant tracks to deep within the forest. in the bamboo zone, it meets the popular bamboo gate you have known when using the popular Elephant Hill trail.
