Are you looking for a day dash to Mount Kenya? our Chogoria-Mackinder Ultraverse could be what you are looking for. This hike will see you through the scenic Mount Kenya Chogoria Route as you ascend and take you on a gentler descent through the Mackinder Valley.
The hike is perfect for someone who is looking for an introductory dash and one who wouldn’t mind a short detour that compromises the summit.
The hike starts at Chogoria Road end and proceeds along the Gorges Valley to Mintos Camp. We will take the shortest detour across Hall Tarns to the Temple and also catch a clearer view of Lake Michaelson before proceeding to the summit push. After a reflection moment at the summit, we will descend through the Mackinder Valley to Old Moses Camp.
