Lake Ellis Overnight Camp-Nithi Falls/Mugi Hill/Ketch Tarn/The Giant Billiard Table Mountain is a camping experience along the closest sceneries to the Chogoria Gate, Mount Kenya.
This hike is for everyone who wants to experience mount Kenya on a budget and have breathtaking scenery. Among the views include the therapeutic drop of Nithi Fall, the silent waters of Lake Ellis with a reflection of the blue in the sky and the view of the Batian, Nellion, and Lenana peaks from the top of Mugi Hill.
The hike starts at Mount Kenya Chogoria gate and ends at the same gate.
This will be a very satisfying weekend, suitable for everyone who is healthy and eyeing the therapeutic outdoors.

Itinerary
1
Departure & Hike Day 1
Meeting point: City Hall Way (Kencom) opposite International House Entrance, CBD.
- 3.45 am: Boarding opens
- 4.00 am: Departure for Mount Kenya Chogoria Gate (The departure time is strict)
- 8.00 am: Arrival at the Chogoria Forest Post & registration
- 9.00 am: Arrival at Chogoria gate, brunch, and hike starts.
- 7.00 pm: Dinner & bonfire alongside Lake Ellis campsite, chats and camp for the night.

Hike Day 2 & Return
- 6.30 am: Rise up to the golden morning hues
- 7.00 am: Breakfast at the lakeside
- 8.00 am: Hike starts to Mugi Hill, Ketch Tarn, and the Giant Billiard Table Mountain
- 4.00 am: Departure for Nairobi.
