Join us on a spectacular escape to Mount Ololokwe in Samburu, Kenya. This hike is an opportunity to chase the sunrise and witness one of nature’s healing magic.
As you ascend this iconic mountain, the distant views of Nkadoru Murto, with its striking protruding peaks, create a picturesque backdrop, making an awe-inspiring experience. The adventure begins in the afternoon under a blanket of the sun and clouds. The crisp, fresh air and the tranquility of the surroundings heighten your senses, preparing you for the magic ahead. We hike up and rest for the night so that as dawn approaches, the horizon starts to glow, and anticipation builds, we are ready to to sink in the moment.
The summit is a rock perfectly positioned to greet the day. Here, the first rays of the sun break through the darkness, casting a golden hue over everything in sight. The rock glows warmly, bathed in the virgin light of the new day. Come and watch the sun as it rises from its socket, illuminating the landscape below. Let’s touch the sun.

Itinerary

Departure & Hike Day 1
- 5.00 am: Boarding opens and loading of our staff
- 5.30 am: Departure for Nanyuki (The departure time is strict)
- 7.30 am: Stopover and take away coffee
- 10:00 am: Arrival at Nanyuki Town for Lunch
- 11.00 am: Departure for Sabache Camp
- 1.30 pm: Arrival and registrations
- 2.30 pm: Hike starts.
- 6.00 pm: Arrival at the campsite and relax.
- 7:30 pm: Take Supper, watch stars and camp.

Hike Day 2 & Return
- 6.00 am: Wake up to touch the sun
- 7.00 am: Breakfast
- 8.00 am: Descent to the Car Park
- 10.00 am: Arrival & freshening up
- 11.00 am: Departure for Nairobi
