Ol Donyo Sapashe (Mount Ololokwe) is a getaway to experience the magic of sunrise at Mount Ololokwe. If nothing blocks your view, then the place is therapeutic. Join us on a spectacular escape to Mount Ololokwe in Samburu, Kenya. This hike is an opportunity to chase the sunrise and witness one of nature’s healing magic. Swim in the ancient waters of Bufallo Springs national Reserve.
As you ascend this iconic mountain, the distant views of Nkadoru Murto, with its striking protruding peaks, create a picturesque backdrop, making an awe-inspiring experience. The adventure begins in the afternoon under a blanket of the sun and clouds. The crisp, fresh air and the tranquility of the surroundings heighten your senses, preparing you for the magic ahead. We hike up and rest for the night so that as dawn approaches, the horizon starts to glow, and anticipation builds, we are ready to to sink in the moment.
The summit is a rock perfectly positioned to greet the day. Here, the first rays of the sun break through the darkness, casting a golden hue over everything in sight. The rock glows warmly, bathed in the virgin light of the new day. Come and watch the sun as it rises from its socket, illuminating the landscape below. Let’s touch the sun.
