Description
Mount Satima Wandare-Dragon’s Teeth Traverse traverses Mount Satima from the eastern to the northern side.
The hike starts near Wandare Picnic site and traverses the open moorlands to Ol Donyo Lesatima Peak. From here, the hike takes the Dragon’s Teeth descent to the Dragon’s Teeth, and farther down to Twin Rocks picnic site, where the hike ends.
The Wandare climb boasts the most open landscapes, while the Dragon’s teeth offers the most scenic rock formations in the whole of the Aberdare Ranges. Are you ready for this combo?

Departure, Hike & Return
Meeting point: City Hall Way (Kencom) opposite International House Entrance, CBD.
- 2.45 am: Boarding opens
- 3.00 am: Departure for Mount Satima (The departure time is strict)
- 7.15 am: Arrival at Wandare Gate & Registration
- 8.00 am: Hike starts
- 5.30 pm: Departure for Nairobi
N/B: The departure time back to Nairobi is subject to the day’s tidings and could be earlier or later than estimated.
