Ragia Falls Hike is at Ragia forest circuit. It takes you to one of Kenya’s most beautiful unspoiled forests, which has a lot of biodiversity and lies within the larger Aberdare forest ecosystem. This amazing trek is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys immersing themselves in nature, surrounded by beautiful trees, and listening to birds chirping and rivers flowing.
The trail starts at Sasumua Dam and proceeds through thick bamboo forest, down the valley into the waterfall, and into Mau Mau caves, which were used as hiding places during the fight for independence by Mau Mau fighters. From the caves, the trail leads out of the forest through a forest road to the second waterfall. This waterfall gives yet another serene drop that can be viewed from the adjacent rocks. After some moments and photos, we start our trek back to the starting point.
