Description
Northern Nyandarua Crescent Circuit is your resilience chase that forms a crescent shape based on the positioning of the covered peaks.
The hike starts at Geta Bushi and quickly diverts to the right past the gate to slightly past the valley where the ascent to Kanyundo Peak begins. The ascent proceeds to where the sight of the moorland vegetation becomes clear, where you take another right diversion to the ridge that holds Kanyundo Peak.
Kanyundo Peak is the gateway to the open moorlands where we will proceed straight before diverting right to Maratini Hill Summit. After a summit moment, we will head to Rurimeria and then the Seven Ponds for yet another view of the magical tarns on top of the mountain. We will finally head to Table Mountain for a descent to Mikeu Shopping Center.
You can descend through the Seven Ponds Trail or Table Mountain Trail. Sweep the popular peaks of Nyandarua in a day.

Itinerary

Departure, Hike & Return
Meeting point: City Hall Way (Kencom) opposite International House Entrance, CBD.
- 2.45 am: Boarding opens
- 3.00 am: Departure for Bushi Shopping Centre (The departure time is strict)
- 7.00 am: Arrival at the Starting Point
- 7.15 am: Hike starts
- 2.30 pm: Mandatory descent through the nearest trail
- 6.00 pm: Departure for Nairobi
N/B: The departure time back to Nairobi is subject to the day’s tidings and could be earlier or slightly later than estimated.
